If you have difficulty paying tuition fees due to financial reasons, there is a tuition fee waiver system for students with outstanding academic achievements. Please contact the Student Life Division for details.

Emergency Assistance Program
The University of Tsukuba International Student Supporters’ Association provides financial aid (within budgetary limits) to international students who wish to receive assistance in the event of an unforeseen death or other accident at the University of Tsukuba, after screening the student’s self-help efforts, such as their enrollment in the National Health Insurance system, etc.
緊急時支援事業
本学の留学生の不慮の死亡事故等により支援を希望する者に対し，「国民健康保険」等への加入状況など自助努力等を審査の上，支援金（予算の範囲内）の支給を行っています。
Temporary Loan Program
The program provides a one-time loan (subject to screening) to international students who are hospitalized due to illness or injury and require immediate hospitalization expenses. As a general rule, the maximum loan amount is 100,000 yen (interest free) per person, to be repaid within 6 months from the following month of the loan month.

一時金貸出事業
本学の外国人留学生で，病気，けが等により入院し，緊急に入院費を必要とする者など支援希望者に対し，一時金の貸出を行っています（審査有り）。貸出限度額は原則として１人 100,000円（無利子）までで，貸出月の翌月から6か月以内に返済することになっています。
